Boundary pushing, innovative, non-conformist. There are no shortage of ways to describe Richard David James, but really you only need two words— Aphex Twin. The IDM pioneer has been a leading figure in leftfield electronics since unleashing ‘Analogue Bubblebath’ and founding Rephlex Records in 1991. Since then there have been genre defining albums like ‘Selected Ambient Works 85-92’ and ‘Drukqs’, iconic labels R&S and Warp, and formidable, legendary live performances. Those lucky enough to have been there know, those joining us in September soon will.

Who better to curate a line-up of dance music’s most forward-thinking? An event where techno impresarios Nina Kraviz and Aleksi Perälä meet Lee Gamble’s broken rave.
Kyoka brings her 140BPM mutants, 33EMYB shows off staccato bass curveballs, and Rian Treanor proves why his debut album is heralded among 2019’s most sonically significant. A term SØS Gunver Ryberg understands after years crafting abrasive, frenetic, mind-melting sound art. Add algorithmic live coding-production by Renick Bell, the dismembered hip hop-infused experiments of Cairo’s ZULI, and Acre, Szare and Croww— Manchester heads at the cutting edge of uncompromising after dark tones— and you get the point. Welcome to the future, make yourself at home.
