A British institution, Arthur ‘Artwork’ Smith has done it all. In the late 90s and early 00s he was instrumental in the birth of dubstep, running the studio above Croydon’s legendary Big Apple store. As one third of dubstep super group Magnetic Man, he took the sound of dubstep to the charts, then on to the globe. Rather than dine out on this success, he spearheaded the post-dubstep dive into exploring house, disco and techno. Now as likely to be found DJing solo all night long as he is to be sharing a line up, he’s become a master at serving up light and shade, throwing down massive good time party hits alongside underground bombs with the deft touch of a master.
